We will start by tackling the word Tattooing. All of the above methods and styles are tattooing. Yes, that includes Microblading. Anything that involves the implantation of pigment into the skin is tattooing.
Semi Permanent V’S Permanent
Next I’ll take on Semi Permanent V’S Permanent. According to most insurers, we should all be calling it Permanent Makeup. This is because there will more than likely be a residue of colour there for the rest of your life. There is no guarantee that it will fade away completely.. Even over many years. Thus the importance of choosing a timeless design and enhancement.

Microblading
Now we would like to talk to you about microblading. Microblading is created by inserting a series of pins into the skin, which are then dragged through the skin like a blade creating the effect of hairstrokes. Pigment on the blade is implanted into the small incisions. Microblading has it’s limitations. It is not at all suitable for mature skin. We believe the method to be too harsh on the skin. We tend not to microblade anyone over the age of 30-35 for that reason. It is also not suitable for anyone with oily skin or open pores. It does not retain well on these skin types. Also, anyone used to wearing a striking and defined Brow, will more than likely be left disappointed with the effects of microblading. Leaving them continuing with their pencil.
The GOOD news is though that there are many other options for you that is far kinder to the skin, providing equally natural effects and offering greater longevity.
For a natural brow, we recommend The Digital Pure Hairstroke Eyebrow. This method and style uses a tiny needle and a handpiece. The needle comes in and out of it’s cartridge very fast. As it does it implants pigment in fine hairstrokes giving a hyper realistic and natural enhancement or reconstruction. It is suitable for all ages as it is far kinder to the skin.
For a little more of a defined brow we recommend taking a look at the Combination or Hybrid Brow. This works using the same tools as the Pure Hairstroke Brows. Creating the same natural underlay of realistic hairstrokes. With a soft powdery effect overlay to add greater definition.
For a beautifully defined brow we recommend the Ombre Brow. This is created again using a digital device. It contains no hairstrokes. Just a gorgeous powdery effect. It is the go to choice for those who have oily skin as it offers the greatest longevity. Also for those with plenty of hair who are looking for greater definition. And those used to wearing a fair amount of Brow makeup. Don’t be fooled into believing that they are always dark. A soft Ombre effect is super achievable. The density is controlled through the amount of colour implanted.
